Rosa Supply Case Sew Along - Making the Pockets

by Christine Lux

We're back sharing a little more about how we put together the pockets for our Rosa Supply Case. We shared last week about our fun & scrappy exterior that we made as part of the Sew Along with Jennie at Clover & Violet.

I continued the scrappy theme with my pockets, because why not?! This is a great way to include more fun bits of favorite prints and colors.

Last week, I talked about how my exterior was a little wider and I didn't want to trim it because of the fussy cutting I did. You can see in the photo above that the spine piece (the coral scissor fabric) isn't going to be wide enough even with my zippers installed.

This was a pretty easy fix. I did some measuring and made the spine piece a little wider.

One other tip I wanted to share with you this week is about double sided basting tape. I bet you didn't know you needed this in your Sew Together bag! ;)

Sometimes keeping zippers from wiggling around while you install them can be a major challenge ... even with pins and clips! This tape is narrow and holds it all in place while you sew!

That's it for this week. :)
